Hi B! Have you ever done some serious climbing before?
Hey A! No, this is actually my first time. I've always wanted to try though.
You've picked quite the place for your first time! These cliffs in Tasmania are no joke.
I know, I heard they're some of the most challenging in the world. But I'm up for it! Any tips for a beginner like me?
Well, always keep three points of contact with the rock at all times. And make sure you're wearing sturdy shoes with good grip!
Got it. And how do you deal with the fear of heights? I'm a little nervous.
Just remember to always breathe and focus on your movements. And don't look down!
(nervous laughter) That's easier said than done!
(laughs) Yeah, it is! But I promise the view from the top is worth it.
I can't wait. Do you have any crazy climbing stories?
Oh, where do I start? Once I got stuck halfway up a cliff because a bird had nested right in the middle of my route.
(laughs) How did you get down?
I had to rappel down and start over on a different route. But it was worth it to see the baby birds up close!
That's amazing. You really are an experienced climber.
I've had my share of struggles and failures too, believe me. But the key is to never give up and always keep learning.
That's great advice. Thanks for being my climbing partner today, A.
My pleasure, B! Let's conquer this mountain together!
