Hi there! Thanks for coming in today. I’m B from HR. Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?

Hello B! Sure, my name is A and I’m excited to be interviewing for the position of Software Development Manager at your company.

Great to hear! Do you have any relevant experience or qualifications for this role?

Yes, I’ve worked in software development for over 10 years and have managed teams for the last 5. I have a degree in computer science and I’m fluent in several programming languages.

Impressive! We’re looking for someone who can lead our development team and ensure we meet our project goals. Can you tell me about a time when you successfully managed a project from start to finish?

Absolutely. I recently managed a project that involved integrating multiple systems into one platform. I assigned tasks to my team and ensured everything was delivered on time and within budget.

That sounds like a complex project. How did you handle any challenges that arose?

I made sure to communicate clearly with my team and stakeholders and make any necessary adjustments to the project plan. We ended up finishing ahead of schedule!

Well done. As for qualifications, we require a bachelor’s degree for this role. Do you have one?

Yes, I have a bachelor’s degree in computer science from a reputable university.

Excellent. And lastly, can you tell me about a time when you had to troubleshoot a technical issue?

Of course. At my last job, one of our applications crashed right before a major release. I worked with my team to identify the issue and fix it. We were able to get the application up and running with minimal delay.

Wonderful. Thank you for sharing that. It sounds like you have a great background for this role. We’ll be in touch soon to let you know next steps.

Thank you, B. I appreciate the opportunity to interview for this position and look forward to hearing back from you soon.
